Seattle / Bellevue Real Estate Mortgage Rate Watch: Volatility is the expectation on the heels of a 2 day Federal Reserve meeting beginning tomorrow. Ben Bernanke and the Fed will be delivering their Interest Rate Decision to maintain or suggest a future increase all while issuing their Policy statement on Wednesday. For the first time ever Ben Bernanke will address the public and the markets with a Chairman’s News Conference at 2:15 PM ET, Wednesday. The market has been uneasy with the divide in the Federal Reserve with many members calling for QE2 to come to an early end and the fate of future inflation. The serious questions comes from rising costs of gas, inflation to the consumer being driven higher and the dollar being devalued so low. Is it a strategy? Is there light at the end of the tunnel? For sure the markets will react to his prognosis which will bring volatility.

On top of the Federal Reserve this week reports come from economic data: Consumer Confidence, Gross Domestic Product, Pending Home Sales, Jobless Claims and Corporate Earnings. The theme of Volatility is ALIVE this week. And speaking of Home Sales, after taking a beating in January and February New home Sales are up 11% in March! Who said the market is not CYCLICAL! Media beats up everything to make us tune in, this week media already feels like Dracula who’s thirst has not been quenched in years! Hang on current and future home owners, it will be interesting.

The Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association, or CT REIA, in association with Robyn Thompson is announcing its February 2011 monthly meeting with Robyn Thompson. This event will take place on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 5:30pm to 9:00pm, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 100 Berlin Road, Cromwell, CT. This event is free for CT REIA members and for not-yet-members.

Robyn Thompson will be teaching attendees how to buy, renovate, and sell single and multifamily homes. Robyn is a leading expert on this topic, and has renovated and sold over 304 homes to date. Some of the strategies that Robyn will be teaching include: finding profitable homes that need renovation; finding and managing contractors on rehab projects; techniques that will help sell these rehabbed homes quickly; and more.

At 5:30, attendees will meet other businesses that can support their business. At 5:45, the early bird workshop will allow attendees to network with each other and have their questions answered. CT Real Estate Investors Association (CT REIA) Announces 2011 Real Estate Investor Workshop For New Investors

The Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association, or CT REIA, is announcing the start of its 3-evening new investor workshop. This program will begin on Thursday, February 3, 2011. Additional dates for the program are Thursday February 10 and Thursday February 17. This workshop will take place at the Comfort Inn, 900 East Main Street, Meriden, CT from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Tuition for this 3-evening program is 0 for CT REIA Members, and 0 for not-yet-members. CT REIA is pleased to present New England’s top real estate investor workshop for new investors. This program is designed to give new investors an opportunity to learn in detail how to get started in the real estate investing process. Experienced investors also participate in this program to find out what is working in today’s market.
